At Mt. Harmony Elementary School, we encourage our students to “strive for excellence”. We teach our students that “striving for excellence” means they have a goal to get very smart. Getting smart means students give their best, own their learning, are always ready to learn, love to learn and strive for excellence.
Our clubs provide students an opportunity to extend their learning beyond the regular school hours. This year the clubs at MHES will run quarterly. We strategically did not plan clubs the 1st quarter to provide our students time to settle back into the new school year. There is a $20 club fee for each of our clubs per quarter. The fee will allow us to purchase club materials, snacks and to pay our sponsors. Any money that is left over after paying our club expenses will be deposited into our school activity fund (SAF). These funds will be used to purchase instructional materials for our students.
If your child would like to participate in a club during the 2nd quarter, please complete and return the club registration form to their homeroom teacher by Friday, October 26th. Clubs can be paid for by cash or check (make checks payable to MHES, the check must a local MD, VA, DC check).
